Reef Hawk (Keanu Reeves), the biggest star in Hollywood, is suddenly blackmailed by somebody, which makes him ponder whom he might’ve hurt.

Yes, even movie stars have feelings, we learn in this navel-gazing comedy that never comes close to being genuinely funny or insightful.

Jonah Hill paints a mostly dark and dispassionate portrait of life in Hollywood, but there are a few bright spots, including his own performance as a shark of a lawyer; Susan Lucci as Reef’s foul-mouthed Housewives mother; and Martin Scorsese as a washed-up agent.
